kickstart youth market

April 2011

My friend and i decided to put up a stall at the Propel Youth Arts market.  As an entry-level event, it was fun and relaxed with live entertainment all day.  There was an emphasis (a workshop even) on creating an attractive stall.  We acted completely on impulse and spent the night before the market making cardboard mountains.  Renae does not recommend operating hot-glue guns when tired.

My abominations take a long time to make and subsequently have a steep price tag.  Predictably, i did not sell any that day; but in the last hour i decided to do quick-and-cheap portraits – a far more lucrative endeavour!  Now if only i had done that all day..
